Professional Background

Michael Todd, a Manager at Gleason & Associates, joined the firm in 2009. Since joining the firm Mike has worked on valuation and financial damage analysis in litigation support engagements, including lost profits associated with breach of contract claims. Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a Manager at the public accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

As a manager at Deloitte & Touche, Mike supported clients in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, retail, and higher education, among others. He has substantial experience with companies that range in size from small, privately held businesses to SEC registered, multi-national, Fortune 500 corporations. Mike's experiences include analyzing data, and interpreting and applying professional literature to advise his clients in a wide range of applications that include accounting for acquisitions, evaluating intangible and goodwill impairment issues for multimillion dollar business units, and addressing recognition and valuation concerns related to derivative instruments portfolios. His experiences also include management and review of SEC filing requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as financial statement audit and agreed upon procedures work. Additionally, Mike has presented on new technical accounting standards for international audiences overseas and at regional level continuing education programs.

After graduation and prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Mike served as an instructor of accounting at The Pennsylvania State University where he taught a combined financial and managerial accounting class to undergraduate students.
