Professional Background

Erin LaPenta, a Staff II Consultant at Gleason & Associates, joined the firm in June 2009. Since joining the firm, Erin has worked extensively on litigation, valuation and economic loss engagements, including analyzing financial damages due to fraudulent activity, material misrepresentations and breach of contracts along with personal damages due to wrongful termination.

Prior to joining the firm, Erin spent over two years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP employed in the Assurance and Enterprise Risk Services department. During her time at Deloitte, Erin gained financial statement auditing experience in accordance with US GAAP standards. The clients Erin served during this time ranged from small, privately held companies to Fortune 500, SEC registrants in various industries including Manufacturing, Utilities, Higher Education and Healthcare. Her experience also included detail analytic reviews of data, assessments of internal control design effectiveness, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Governmental auditing experience, and agreed upon procedures work.

Erin graduated from Duquesne University in 2006 where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Erin's education and experiences in audit and assurance services have prepared her to become a valuable member of Gleason & Associates.
