Professional Background

Heather Bays, a Director with Gleason & Associates, joined the firm in 1996 after many years working as an auditor for a Big 4 accounting firm and as a forensic and litigation support manager for a local accounting and consulting practice in California. Her focus at Gleason & Associates has been primarily in the areas of personal and business losses, litigation support, and fraud investigations.

Heather frequently provides analyses regarding economic losses experienced by individuals resulting from employment issues, personal injuries, and wrongful death.

Heather objectively works with both plaintiffs and defendants in developing and/or analyzing the bases of their claims and effectively utilizes financial information, government statistics and various economic studies to support her conclusions. Heather has provided analyses in cases with Plaintiffs of a variety of ages and walks of life. She has developed or critiqued economic loss claims for unborn children and school age children, as well as adults who were employed, self-employed, unemployed or retired at the time of the issue at dispute.

Heather has provided consulting services to attorneys and their clients in a variety of other financial matters as well, including business interruption claims, contract disputes, and family trust issues.

Heather has taught many courses on financial and accounting topics to Pittsburgh law firms and to Gleason & Associates personnel. She brings her energy, creativity and experience to Gleason & Associates to help clients identify and solve business problems and financial issues.
