Established in 1965, the Licensing Executives Society (LES) is a professional society comprised of 6,000 members engaged in the transfer, use, development and marketing of intellectual property. The Pittsburgh Chapter The Pittsburgh Chapter of LES, serving western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and eastern Ohio, was created in October 2010 to serve the area's growing and dynamic IP community. While there are many benefits of the national LES membership, the co-chairs - Marc Malandro from University of Pittsburgh, Bob Wooldridge from Carnegie Mellon University, and Mark Gleason from Gleason & Associates - secured a local charter with the goal of bringing the insightful conversation, robust learning, and professional camaraderie closer to home.
