Education and Certification:
Anthony (Tony) Masztak, a manager with Gleason & Associates, joined the firm in 2007. Since joining the firm Tony has worked extensively on valuation and financial damage analysis in litigation support engagements, including lost profits associated with patent infringement and breach of contract claims. Prior to joining the firm, Tony was a Manager at the public accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
As a Manager at Deloitte & Touche, Tony worked with the Assurance and Enterprise Risk Services department. During this time Tony served numerous clients in various industries ranging in size from small, privately held companies to large multi-national, Fortune 100 companies, with a range of revenues from $50 million to $10 billion. Tony has extensive experience with public and private companies in a broad range of industries including utilities, manufacturing, higher education, telecommunications, healthcare, and others. His experiences in these areas include audit and assurance services associated with financial statements and internal control over financial reporting of various entities, mergers and acquisitions, manage and review of SEC compliance and filing requirements, accounting research, manage and review of regulatory compliance and agreed upon procedures work. Tony has also been a lead instructor at many local continuing education trainings related to various technical accounting and auditing areas.
Tony obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accountancy from Duquesne University in 2001. Tony is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania.
Tony's experiences in the areas of risk identification, problem solving, financial analysis, and statistical sampling are effective in assisting in the discovery and valuation stages of litigation support engagements. Additionally, Tony's audit experiences in a variety of industries are helpful in valuation engagements, particularly in projecting future cash flows and assessing risk.
